Shawn Nova, a multifaceted creative force, hails from LaSalle, Quebec, and currently resides in Toronto, Ontario. With a background in theatrical productions, Shawn initially made a name for himself by penning and starring in stage adaptations of notable works such as "The Departed", "Angels in America", and "Glengarry Glen Ross". However, he has since transitioned his focus to television and filmmaking.
Shawn's inaugural project, the TV series concept "Budz", was brought to life on a shoestring budget in Ontario. The pilot episode, "The Cake", garnered significant attention and established Shawn as a rising talent in the writing community.
As co-owner of A Long Way Down Films alongside Daniel Shulkin, Shawn is dedicated to providing a platform for Toronto-based creatives to flourish. The production company is particularly passionate about cultivating auteur cinema, showcasing innovative storytelling and artistic vision.
Shawn's upcoming silent experimental short film, "A Beautiful Rush", is slated for release in 2022, further solidifying his reputation as a bold and innovative creative force in the industry.
