Sheila's inspiration to become an actress can be traced back to her great aunt, Movie Star Louise Latimer, who sparked her interest at the tender age of five. Louise would dress Sheila up in mink stoles, false eyelashes, and give her lines to recite at family holiday parties, laying the groundwork for Sheila's future acting endeavors.
In addition to her great aunt's influence, Sheila was also inspired by her aunt Virginia McGuire, who studied at prestigious institutions such as Carnegie Tech and Yale Drama School. Virginia's impressive credentials were further solidified when she won a contest sponsored by Photoplay magazine, with judges including Bette Davis, William Holden, and Joseph Mankiewicz selecting her from among 50,000 contestants.
Born and raised in Connecticut, Sheila began her acting journey by taking classes at Fairfield University with Doug Taylor. She went on to participate in numerous regional theatrical productions in Connecticut before making the move to New York City. There, she studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts' summer program and took additional classes, honing her craft.
Sheila's decision to relocate to Hollywood, California, proved to be a pivotal moment in her career. She obtained an agent and enrolled at the Stella Adler Conservatory, where she spent three years refining her skills. One of her stage performances received a glowing review in Nitelife Today, praising her energy and playfulness on stage.
Since then, Sheila has appeared in over twenty independent films, as well as commercials for notable brands such as Canal Street Jean Company, Dodge Trucks, and Fashion Showcase. Her national Discover Card commercial aired during the Super Bowl, further solidifying her reputation as a talented actress.
In 2009, Sheila landed the role of Cheryl Ann Sutcliffe in La Funcionaria Asesina, aka The Slayer Bureaucrat. The following year, she was cast in the lead role of Sergio Kardenas' film Café 65, which is set for release in the summer of 2011. With her extensive experience in film, television, and theater, Sheila continues to make a name for herself in the entertainment industry.
