Biography

Sherry Mattson, a talented actress, originally hails from Huntington Beach, California, where her passion for acting was ignited during her college years. She honed her craft by being part of the repertory at Orange Coast College, taking theatre classes at the University of California, Irvine, and later studying at the prestigious South Coast Repertory Conservatory. Moreover, she gained valuable experience by performing in numerous local theatre productions throughout Orange County.

After relocating to Los Angeles, Sherry continued to act in various theatre productions, including notable performances at Theatre Neo. Her creative endeavors extended beyond the stage, as she wrote and produced her first short film, Plugged In, in 2002, which marked her debut in the film festival circuit. In 2012, she expanded her repertoire by adding directing to her list of credits with the film I Love You, Eddie Deezen, which she also wrote and produced. This project allowed her to work with one of her comedy idols, a dream come true. Sherry's outstanding direction earned her the Best New Director award at the New York International Independent Film Festival in 2013.

Sherry's television appearances include notable roles in "The Middleman," "People Magazine Investigates," and "In Ice Cold Blood." In addition to her on-screen presence, she has made numerous television commercials, independent films, and online projects. Her portrayal of a character in the independent film "Tin Can" resonated with audiences, leading to immense success on the festival circuit in 2018-2019.

Beyond her acting pursuits, Sherry is the owner of the clothing and accessories company, Rudechix, which has afforded her the opportunity to travel to conventions and tournaments across the United States. She earned an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing from California State University, Los Angeles, in 2011.

In 2019, Sherry graduated from the Second City Hollywood Conservatory Program, where she refined her improv skills, learned to write and perform sketch comedy, and started an improv team called Hot Potatoes with fellow Second City Hollywood performers in 2020.
