Shosh is a renowned director and producer, having helmed the critically acclaimed documentary "Last Journey into Silence" (2003). This powerful film tells the poignant story of Holocaust survivors residing in mental institutions in Israel, earning numerous accolades along the way, including the Best Documentary award at the Lublin Film Festival and the Best Documentary Honorable Mention at the Haifa International Film Festival. Additionally, "Last Journey into Silence" received a nomination for the prestigious "Golden Sheaf" award in Yorkton, Canada, and took home the coveted "Columbine Award" for Best Documentary.
Shosh's subsequent film, "Be Fruitful and Multiply" (2005),sheds light on the oppressive treatment of women within the ultra-orthodox society. Her next project, "Good Garbage" (2008),delves into the struggles faced by Palestinians, predominantly children, who eke out a living from the waste generated by Jewish settlers in the West Bank. This gripping documentary has garnered widespread recognition, including awards for Best Documentary at the Shanghai Film Festival in China and the FICA Film Festival in Brazil, as well as an award for Best Cinematography at the Israeli Documentary Forum Awards. Moreover, "Good Garbage" was recently selected by Michele Moore for a screening at the Traverse City Film Festival.
Shosh holds a Master of Arts degree in Comparative Literature from Bar Ilan University, and is also a graduate of the Theatre Department at Tel Aviv University. She further honed her craft by studying at New York's School of Visual Arts.
