Sloboda Micalovic was born in Leskovac, Serbia, to Milica, a hairdresser, and Dragan Micalovic, an actor. She is the second of three sisters, with Mirjana and Dragana being her elder and younger siblings respectively. As a child, she was an ardent fan of Branko Milicevic.
Sloboda's early foray into the world of entertainment was through a radio interview, where she showcased her natural hosting abilities, making it her first public appearance. During her elementary school years, she was an active member of the choir and also pursued dance and sports. Her musical inclinations led her to enroll in a music school in 1995, where she discovered her talent for music.
In 1999, Sloboda made the decision to try her hand at acting and relocated to Belgrade. Her big break came when director Zdravko Sotra invited her to audition for the film "Zona Zamfirova" during her third year of studies, and she landed the role of Vaska.
The year 2002 brought her another significant role in the film "Mjesoviti brak", and it was also during this time that she met her future husband, Vojin Cetkovic, with whom she had twins. In 2008 and 2009, Sloboda starred in the highly acclaimed RTS television series "Ranjeni orao" (Wounded Eagle),which became one of the most-watched Serbian television series of all time, catapulting her to fame.
Sloboda was also considered for the role of Katarina in the 2009 film "Sveti Georgije ubiva azdahu", but the part ultimately went to Natasa Janjic. In 2011/2012, she starred in the television series "Nepobedivo srce".
