Sonia Paskowitz, a talented actress and model, was born to a family of Russian Jewish heritage, with her parents, Louis and Rose Paskowitz, making the bold decision to emigrate to the United States and settle in Galveston, Texas. As the family's story unfolded, they relocated to San Diego, California, in 1934, marking a significant turning point in their lives.
Sonia's brother, Dorian Paskowitz, would go on to pursue a career in medicine, but he later abandoned his medical practice to follow his passion for surfing, becoming a professional surfer and surfing instructor in the process.
Sonia's own journey in the film industry began in 1941, when she landed a role in the movie "It Started with Eve," despite having to fib about her age to secure the part. She went on to appear in several uncredited roles, before earning her only two credited roles in her most iconic film, "The Big Sleep," released in 1946, and her final film, "Federal Agent at Large," in 1950.
However, Sonia's time in Hollywood came to an end, and she decided to pursue a career in modeling. She eventually met and married Bill Reese, a talented theater set designer and the president of a marketing services company. Together, they had four children, including the youngest, Mason Reese, who would go on to become a notable figure in his own right.
