Sonny Valicenti, a talented actor, is set to make a comeback in the second season of David Fincher's gripping drama series "Mindhunter". His impressive acting career began to take shape in 2017 when he appeared in Steven Spielberg's highly acclaimed film "The Post", starring the renowned Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep.
Prior to his role in "The Post", Valicenti was featured in a supporting role in the 2016 holiday comedy "Office Christmas Party" alongside Jason Bateman. The part was specially created for him by directors Will Speck & Josh Gordon after they met him on the set of an Apple campaign shoot.
Valicenti's television work is diverse and includes several beloved TV series such as Tig Notaro's "One Mississippi" for Amazon, "Lady Dynamite" on Netflix, and the FX comedy "You're the Worst". In 2015, he wrote, directed, and starred in the short film "Final Scene", which tells the story of the breakup of comedy duo Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. The film premiered at the Austin Film Festival and Dances with Films.
In addition to his film and television work, Valicenti has also appeared off-Broadway in productions of Romeo & Juliet, Henry V, and The Spy. His regional credits include the Public Theater production of The Institute of Memory, Abacus, which was presented at BAM as part of their Next Wave Festival, The Children for the Theatre at Boston Court, and The Firebird with the LA Philharmonic.
Born in Barrington, IL, Sonny caught the acting bug in high school and went on to receive a BFA in acting from California Institute of the Arts. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
