Sören Olsson, born March 16, 1964, in Karlskoga parish, Örebro county, Sweden, is a renowned Swedish children's book author, illustrator, and lecturer.
Growing up in Karlskoga, Sören is the son of Helge Olsson, the chairman, and May-Britt, the prescriber, who was unmarried to Jakobsson. In 1986, Sören co-founded Änglatroll with his cousin Anders Jacobsson, with whom he has collaborated on numerous popular books and films for children and youth.
Some of his notable works include the beloved series Sune, which he also illustrated, and the TV series Sune's Christmas, as well as the radio series Almanackan. Additionally, he has written the book "Önskeringen," set in Vivalla, Örebro, and co-authored the script for the Sune films with Hannes Holm.
Sören's personal life has also been marked by significant challenges and triumphs. He and his wife published the book "Prins Annorlunda" in 2008, which tells the story of living with a child who has Down's syndrome and the deadly disease Eisenmenger syndrome. This book was inspired by their son Ludvig, born in February 1991, who had Down's syndrome and passed away on March 4, 2015, at the age of 24.
