Stacey Maltin, a talented and accomplished filmmaker and performer, has made a significant impact in the industry with her thought-provoking and empathetic storytelling. As a director, writer, and star of the feature film Triple Threat, she has demonstrated her ability to showcase the complexities of humanity and the importance of empathy.
Triple Threat, which was released on Peacock in 2023, has garnered widespread recognition and accolades, including top prizes from the Film Threat Award This and a 10k post-production grant for her next project at Sugar Studios in Los Angeles.
Maltin's work on the mini-series MASHED, which won best series at several prominent film festivals, including Series Fest, Hollyshorts, and Nashville Film Festival, among others, has also received critical acclaim. The series, which explores the tender and often raunchy world of female pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction, has been supported by multiple grants, including those from the Vagina Collective.
Throughout her career, Maltin has made numerous short films that have premiered at prestigious festivals such as Newfest, Hollyshorts, Dances with Films, and Cinequest, which is an Oscar-qualifying festival. Her most recent project, the musical drama film Malka, starring Tovah Feldshuh, has wrapped production.
In addition to her work as a director, Maltin has also produced several feature films and runs two production companies: Besties Make Movies, a narrative production company, and WIWU Productions, a commercial production company.
Maltin is represented by Navigation Media and is a proud member of Film Fatales and The Filmshop, two organizations dedicated to promoting the work of women and underrepresented filmmakers.
