Steph was born in the small town of Alliance, Ohio, where she grew up with an unusual childhood fascination with horror. By the age of four, she was already watching horror films, both classic and new, and this fascination only grew stronger as she matured.
As she entered her teenage years, Steph's passion for horror led her to dream of becoming an actress, specifically in the horror genre. However, her small-town upbringing in Ohio made it seem unlikely that she would ever have the opportunity to pursue this dream.
At the age of fourteen, in 1986, Steph made the bold decision to move to California, where she could finally start making her dream a reality. She attended high school in Oxnard, where she excelled academically and was even named to the "Who's Who of American High School Students" for two consecutive years.
Steph's passion for drama led her to take classes in high school and later major in Dramatic Arts in college. After graduation, she continued to hone her craft by taking professional classes, studying various techniques, and perfecting her skills in cold reading, scene study, and more.
However, Steph soon realized that her dreams of becoming an actress wouldn't come true until she made the move to Los Angeles. So, in 1992, she made the big move and began studying with several coaches, perfecting her craft and preparing herself for her big break.
In 1995, Steph landed her first role in the film "Unnaturally Born Killers" (1996),which marked the beginning of her status as a "Scream Queen." Over the next few years, she worked on various projects, including music videos, films, and commercials.
The late 1990s and early 2000s were a busy time for Steph, with a string of film and television appearances, including "Witchcraft IX: Bitter Flesh" (1996),"Zombie Gang Bangers" (1997),"A MidCyber's Night Dream" (1997),and more.
In the late 1990s, Steph began to branch out, taking on roles in films for Nightmare Productions, such as "Twilight" (1998),"Tales from the Cannibal Side" (1998),and "Dying to Meet You" (1997). She also reprised her role as Detective Lutz in "Witchcraft X: Mistress of the Craft" (1998) and appeared in "Passion to Kill, A" (1999).
In the early 2000s, Steph continued to work on a variety of projects, including "Headcrusher" (1999),"Eyes of the Werewolf" (1999),"Witchcraft XI: Sisters in Blood" (2000),and "V-World Matrix" (1999). She also began writing a monthly column for "Autograph News Magazine," sharing her insights on the film industry and interviewing industry professionals.
Today, Steph is not only an accomplished actress but also a producer and director, working on a range of projects from low-budget "B" films to high-end productions. Her latest project, "The Bagman" (2002),marks her debut as a producer, and she continues to be a force to be reckoned with in the film industry.
