Stephen is a multi-talented individual, boasting a wide range of accomplishments in the fields of acting, writing, activism, and audiobook narration. As a native of Connecticut, he was raised in a family where his father ran his own property tax consulting business from their home, and his mother worked in banking.
Stephen's academic background is impressive, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Studies/Creative Writing from Central Connecticut State University. He then moved to New York City to pursue his Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting from the Stella Adler Studio of Acting's MFA Conservatory.
As a professional actor, Stephen has had the opportunity to perform and develop new work at some of the most renowned theatre companies in New York City, including Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre, New York Theatre Workshop, the LAByrinth Theatre Company, Primary Stages, The New Group, Playwrights Horizons, and the Actors Studio, where he is a lifetime member. His stage credits include appearances on Broadway and tours in Japan and the United States.
Stephen has been fortunate enough to work closely with and learn from some of the most acclaimed artists in the industry, including Oscar-winners Mark Rylance, F. Murray Abraham, Frances McDormand, John Patrick Shanley, Estelle Parsons, and Ellen Burstyn, as well as renowned teachers Austin Pendleton, Larry Moss, Terry Schreiber, Chazz Palminteri, and Bob Krakower.
In addition to his stage work, Stephen has also appeared in several TV shows, including recurring roles on "Evil" (CBS/Paramount Plus) and "Living With Yourself" (Netflix),as well as supporting work on the limited series "Dr. Death" (NBC Peacock) and "Billions" (Showtime). His film work includes the award-winning short film "American Morning," which he wrote, co-produced, and starred in alongside Emmy-winner Richard Schiff, and "She Said," directed by Emmy-winner and BAFTA-nominee Maria Schrader.
When he is not busy creating, Stephen enjoys reading classic literature, watching classic films, eating Skittles, drinking Orangina, running in Astoria Park, protesting against national and global injustices, traveling, and spending time immersed in nature.
