Sheamus O'Shaunessy's wrestling career began in April 2002 at The Monster Factory, where he trained under Larry Sharpe and Jim Molineaux. He made his debut six weeks later against Robert Pigenion.
A neck injury in 2002 forced him to take a two-year hiatus from wrestling. However, he re-initiated his career in May 2004 at the Irish Whip Wrestling school in Dublin, where he debuted on July 9th against the "Burning Spirit".
SOS went on to compete against top foreign talent, including Vid Vain, Matthew Kaye, Xavier, and Mikey Batts. He received his first major title shot against Alex Shane for the FWA British Heavyweight Championship in December 2004.
In March 2005, SOS became the first-ever IWW International champion by defeating Red Vinny, Vid Vain, and Greg Burridge. This led to a feud with Darren Burridge, which involved several matches, including a grudge match where SOS emerged victorious.
SOS then set his sights on winning his title back, defeating Red Vinny and Vic Viper to earn a shot at D'Lo Brown and The Assassin. He persevered and pinned D'Lo to become a two-time IWW champion.
In his latest match, SOS defeated Vampiro in a no-disqualification match, cementing his position as Ireland's top professional wrestler. He successfully defended his title in 2006 and began his ShowBiz career with a memorable TV appearance on the St. Patrick's Day Podge & Rodge Show.
SOS also made his big-screen debut in the dark Irish movie 3Crosses, alongside stars such as Gail Porter, Samantha Mumba, Caprice, and Keith Duffy. In 2007, he starred in the role of 'Two Ton' in The Escapist opposite Joseph Fiennes.
The Irish print media have featured Sheamus O'Shaunessy with full-page spreads in The Sun, The Star, The Daily & Sunday Mirror, and The Metro. He is now a regular face on the roster of top UK wrestling promotions, such as All Star Wrestling, and looks set to take Irish grappling to the world.
