Biography

Steve earned his Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the esteemed Professional Theatre Training Program at Brandeis University in 1991, securing a full-tuition scholarship and teaching assistantship, a testament to his exceptional talent and dedication.

As an accomplished actor, he has had the privilege of working off-Broadway and in Regional Theatre alongside renowned artists, including Obie Award-winner Ralph Lee and The Mettawee River Theatre Company. One of his most notable performances was as a movement artist in the 1990 ticker tape parade for Nelson Mandela in New York City, an honor that further solidified his reputation as a talented and versatile performer.

After three decades of teaching and directing, Steve made a triumphant return to the stage as 'Adam Comley' in Philippe van Leeuw's 2023 production "The Wall," opposite the acclaimed Vicky Krieps, known for her roles in "Phantom Thread" and "Corsage."

Steve's directorial endeavors have also garnered significant attention, with his play "The Secret Lives of Teachers" enjoying a successful run at over two dozen festivals and collecting nine honors and awards. His first feature film, "Lucky U Ranch," is distributed by Random Media, while his other projects, "42 Seconds" and "Room 107," have won multiple awards at various festivals in 2024, including "Best Arizona Short" at the Arizona International Film Festival.
