Steve Barry was born on January 30, 1965, in the vibrant city of Montréal, Québec, Canada. As a talented singer-songwriter, he gained recognition for his involvement in various bands, including D.O.M. and The Wonders Band. However, his foray into acting was facilitated by his association with a prominent casting agency.
Initially, Barry lent his versatile voice-over skills to commercials, showcasing his proficiency in both French and English. His early work included notable campaigns for Claritin Liberator, Royal Lepage, Videotron, and Bell Canada. He soon transitioned to local television shows, making his debut in the 1996 series Virginie.
With his experience and confidence growing, Barry gradually moved on from background roles to securing speaking parts in notable productions. Some of his notable credits include the critically acclaimed Enquête (2007),Krach (2010),and Sang-Froid: Un conte de loups-garous (2013).
