Biography

Stuart Comerford, a multifaceted Irish creative force, burst onto the scene in 1995, born and raised in Dublin, Ireland. As part of the vanguard of Ireland's new media wave, Stuart's artistic trajectory began in the photographic industry before he transitioned to filmmaking.

In July 2013, his inaugural short film, "The Untold Story", premiered to widespread critical acclaim and garnered a massive online following. This auspicious debut catapulted Stuart to the forefront of the Irish filmmaking community, setting the stage for his subsequent projects.

The momentum generated by "The Untold Story" propelled Stuart's debut feature film, "The Kids Aren't Alright", which premiered in Ireland in 2016 before being made available online via free streaming in April of the same year. The feature film subsequently toured the European indie festival circuit prior to its general release.

Notably, "The Kids Aren't Alright" was a labor of love, taking over two years to complete on a remarkably modest budget of EUR1,500. This achievement served as a beacon of hope for the "no-budget" filmmaking community in Dublin, demonstrating that even the most modest of productions could yield remarkable results.

In addition to his feature film work, Stuart has also been developing a pilot for the television series "Lesbro: All My Friends Are Lesbians", which launched in 2015. The project is currently in the works, with plans for a six-episode series.
