Sumukhi Suresh is a multifaceted individual who wears many hats, including stand-up comedian, actor, writer, showrunner, and show-off. Her journey in comedy began in Bangalore, where she was working at a food testing and certification company. She eventually rose to fame with her YouTube series "Behti Naak", which she created and brought to life.
Sumukhi's impressive repertoire also includes acting in the mockumentary web series "Better Life Foundation", a project created by Naveen Richard. Her most notable role to date is perhaps her performance in the acclaimed Amazon Prime Video show "Pushpavalli", for which she created and starred in the show across seasons 1 and 2.
In addition to her acting credits, Sumukhi co-wrote the sketch comedy show "Go Straight Take Left" with fellow comedian Naveen Richard. Her other notable projects include creating and acting in shows across various OTT platforms, such as "Beauty and the Feast" for Hotstar, "Banake Dikha" for Zomato, and "Lust Stories" for Netflix.
Sumukhi has also made a name for herself as a host and judge on the Amazon Original "Comicstaan". Her feature film credits include the 2018 Kannada satirical comedy "Humble Politician Nograj". Most recently, she released her stand-up special "Don't Tell Amma" on Amazon Prime Video and turned producer on the short film "Notary", which is currently making the rounds at film festivals.
