Born in the picturesque Greek island of Aegina in the year 1958, he began his journey in the world of performing arts. Subsequently, he enrolled in the esteemed Drama School of the National Theatre, where he honed his craft under the guidance of experienced instructors.
As he navigated the realm of Greek cinema, he made appearances in various films, showcasing his versatility as an actor. However, it was his venture into direction and screenwriting that would prove to be a pivotal moment in his career.
In 1989, he wrote and directed the short film "Vera Cruz," a 20-minute masterpiece shot on 35 mm film. This critically acclaimed work would go on to win numerous accolades, including the Best Film Award at the Drama Short Film Festival, the prestigious Ministry of Culture State Award, and the EEC Jury Award from the French National Film Centre in the following year, 1990.
