Tamás Lengyel, a renowned Hungarian actor, was born on September 7, 1977, in Budapest, Hungary, to a family with a strong background in the arts. His mother, a former teacher of German and Hungarian language and literature, and his father, a mechanical engineer, both shared a passion for the arts, which may have significantly influenced Tamás's decision to pursue a career in acting.
Tamás's early introduction to the world of theatre began at the tender age of 13, when he was cast in a children's theatre production. He went on to appear in numerous roles until he was accepted into the University of Theatre and Film Arts in Budapest, where he graduated in 2001. Following his academic achievements, Tamás became one of the most prominent young actors in Hungarian theatre, performing on the stages of three different theatres before joining The Vígszinház in 2011.
Before transitioning to television, Tamás landed his first role in the series "I love Budapest" while still a university student. However, it was his leading role in the popular Hungarian soap opera "Jóban Rosszban" that catapulted his career to new heights. He subsequently appeared in 55 episodes of the TV series "Munkaügyek" (2012),before leaving to take on the leading role in the adventure series "Kossuthkifli" (2015). In addition to his television work, Tamás has also starred in several feature films.
