Tara was born in Edmonton, Alberta, a city situated in the western province of Alberta, Canada, and spent her formative years in Calgary, a major city in the province, before relocating to pursue her academic and professional aspirations.
Following her relocation to Vancouver in 2006, Tara made her theatrical debut in a production of "Hamlet," where she portrayed the character of Ophelia, marking the beginning of her successful career in the world of stage productions.
Throughout her time in Vancouver, Tara appeared in numerous stage productions with Twenty-Something Theatre, including Brad Fraser's critically acclaimed play "Unidentified Human Remains and the True Nature of Love," and the world premiere of "Prodigals" in 2011, which has since been adapted into a feature film.
Tara's talents extended beyond the world of stage productions, as she also gained a significant following in the gaming community and web series community through her work on the fantasy-comedy web series, Standard Action.
Tara's impressive performances did not go unnoticed, as she was nominated for a Leo award in 2015 for her role in the web series, Aeternus, and again in 2016 for her role in the web series, Stricken.
In addition to her work in television and film, Tara made her mark on the big screen with her supporting role in the feature film, No Men Beyond This Point, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2015. Her outstanding performance earned her the Vancouver Film Critics Circle award for Best Supporting Actress in a Canadian Film in 2016 for her portrayal of Terra Granger.
Tara is currently represented by Jaye Riske with Principals Talent, a prominent talent agency in the entertainment industry.
