Tara Slone's remarkable career trajectory is a testament to her unwavering dedication to her passions, as she has successfully navigated multiple fields, leaving a lasting impact in each one.

Initially, Tara pursued her love for music by becoming the lead singer of the Juno-nominated rock group Joydrop, and later as a finalist on the popular CBS series Rockstar: INXS. Her early entertainment career also saw her appear in numerous films, television shows, and stage productions.

In 2010, Tara transitioned to television, hosting Breakfast Television Calgary for five years, during which she had the opportunity to explore the world of sports, contributing regularly to Sportsnet, Canada's leading sports channel, covering various sports including the WHL and USports hockey, curling, soccer, and bobsleigh.

Tara's groundbreaking work in sports broadcasting culminated in her co-hosting the iconic NHL broadcast Rogers Hometown Hockey alongside Ron MacLean for eight years, making her the first woman to host a national NHL show. In addition, she helmed the weekly Sportsnet series Top of [HER] Game in 2020 and 2021, focusing on empowering stories of women in the sports world.
