Biography

Tarita Teriipaia, a renowned actress of French Polynesian and Chinese ancestry, is famously recognized as the third wife of the iconic actor Marlon Brando, with whom she would later divorce.

Tarita's notable acting credits include her role as Maimiti in the 1962 film Mutiny on the Bounty, for which she received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

In 1962, Tarita married Marlon Brando, becoming his third wife, and went on to have two children with him, a son named Simon Teihotu and a daughter named Tarita Cheyenne.

The couple divorced in 1972, and Tarita would later publish her memoirs, Marlon, My Love and My Torment, just months after Marlon Brando's passing in 2004.

Notably, one of Tarita's grandsons, Tuki Brando, has established himself as a prominent model.

As of 2015, Tarita remains the only surviving wife of Marlon Brando, following the passing of Movita Castaneda and Anna Kashfi in February and August of that year, respectively.
