Ted Trent's biography is a fascinating tale of transformation from a small farming community in Southern Illinois to a successful career in the entertainment industry. Born in a rural setting, Ted's early life was marked by his participation in high school and college theatre and speech team, laying the foundation for his future pursuits.
After graduating from Illinois State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and a minor in Political Science, Ted's first job took him to Nashville, Tennessee, where he worked as a Promotional Director in gospel music. It was during this time that he auditioned for his first professional acting job, landing a role in the musical "Christy, The Musical." The musical, based on a Catherine Marshall novel, starred Ted as one of the lead characters.
Ted's experience in "Christy" led to a daytime job as a production assistant on the set of the ABC television series "Christy," where he fell in love with the television industry. After the show wrapped up filming, Ted auditioned for a Country Music Television program called "Danceline," which he was hired for on the spot. As one of the six lead couple dancers, Ted honed his dancing skills and gained valuable experience in the industry.
Around the same time, Ted discovered his passion for photography, taking pictures of his acting friends. This new hobby quickly turned into a career, bringing him to Los Angeles where he could capture images of people every day.
In Los Angeles, Ted's big break came when he landed a role in a USA Network television movie called "The Great American Christmas." He continued to study Advanced Scene Study with Art Wolf Acting Studios and appeared on several reality and talk shows.
Most recently, Ted starred in the new release "Hidden Hills" and will appear with his life partner on an episode of "Beverly Hills Pawn." Currently, he is filming his second starring role in the feature film "Belleville."
