Terry Ryan, a proud native of Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador, embarked upon a remarkable seven-year professional hockey career, which ultimately culminated in an impressive eight games played in the National Hockey League.
After retiring from professional hockey in the year 2007, Ryan shifted his focus towards the world of arts, where he achieved great success by releasing a highly acclaimed and bestselling book titled "Tales of a First Round Nothing".
Furthermore, Ryan also explored the film industry, where he discovered a new passion and talent for storytelling through the medium of cinema.
Ryan's foray into the realm of television has been marked by a series of notable appearances, with his presence felt in multiple episodes of the esteemed CBC series Republic of Doyle, where he has taken on minor yet memorable roles. Furthermore, he has made a cameo appearance in the OLN's 2008 production "Road Hockey Rumble", where he played himself with great aplomb.

Ryan's extensive acting credits boast an impressive array of roles, including his portrayal of "British Soldier #1" in the highly acclaimed Netflix/Discovery Channel series Frontier, starring the renowned Jason Momoa, in 2017. Furthermore, he has also made appearances in Frontier Season 2, Little Dog (CBC),Caught (CBC),Schitt's Creek, and numerous short films.
In addition to his acting endeavors, Ryan showcased his creative prowess by writing and starring in the thought-provoking short film "A Stand In" in 2018. His portrayal of Teddy in Season 8, Episode 1 of the hit Canadian television series Letterkenny was a memorable one, and his character quickly became a fan favorite.
