Theresa June-Tao is a talented performer who has made a name for herself in both television and film. Her academic achievements are impressive, having graduated from Clear Brook High School in Friendswood, Texas, where she was a standout student and part of several honor societies, student councils, and clubs.
After attending college for a year and a half, Theresa pursued a career in the entertainment industry. She danced for Team NRG of the WNBA's Houston Comets, toured with top 40 artists Frankie J and Baby Bash, and appeared in music videos and films. Her credits include dancing in John Legend's and Andre 3000's "Green Light" music video, playing a cheerleader in "Bring It On Cinco" alongside Christina Milian, and starring in several independent features.
Theresa began studying acting in 2007 at the Meisner Center in California, where she learned the importance of hard work, discipline, and preparation. She also studied under her mentor, Lesly Kahn, and landed roles in TV shows and films, including "Bones," "Wasteland," "Seed of Hope," "Go On," and "Mile Marker 7."
Her most notable role to date is likely her appearance in the Sci-Fi Action feature "Battle of Los Angeles" (2011),where she played Airforce pilot Lt. Solano. The film often airs on the SYFY channel. More recently, Theresa has appeared in an episode of CBS's internationally known NCIS, titled "Patience."
In addition to her acting career, Theresa is a creative and entrepreneurial individual who enjoys writing, producing, shooting, and editing smaller projects. She is also a part-time environmentalist who promotes petitions she believes in and is involved with several organizations, including Amnesty International, Human Rights Campaign, UNHCR, and Samaritan's Purse.
As a mother to her Child-Fund child from Mozambique, Sarmento, Theresa is a dedicated and compassionate individual who prioritizes her family and her values. Her company, Golden Rule Entertainment, reflects her commitment to living by the golden rule and treating others with kindness and respect.
