Tina Georgieva, a remarkable individual, was born on September 4th, 1996, in a small Eastern Bulgarian town. Years later, she and her parents made the bold decision to immigrate to the United States after winning the U.S Diversity Green Card Lottery. This life-changing event led to a significant move in 2006, when Tina and her mother relocated to Vancouver, Canada.
From a tender age, Tina was drawn to the arts, heavily influenced by her aunt, Elisaveta Gospodinova, a Bulgarian actress who had studied the renowned Stanislavsky Method at the South West University in Blagoevgrad. Tina would often accompany her aunt to studio sessions and theatre rehearsals, even joining her on tour for the Bulgarian National Theatre's production of "Husove".
After completing high school in 2014, Tina pursued her passion for the arts by enrolling in Vancouver's Railtown Actors Studio, an underground theatre group known for its experimental and eclectic approach. The studio was co-founded by Kate Twa and John Casini, and it attracted a diverse range of artists who worked with a broad spectrum of material. Tina had the opportunity to study under the guidance of Kate Twa, Edward Foi, and other devoted artists who aimed to expose the humor in life's absurdity, shed light on complex relationships, and push boundaries.
Railtown Actors Studio served as a home and incubator for artists, where Tina discovered her direction in the arts and theatre. Her work here inspired her to challenge conventions and explore off-kilter stories featuring complex characters, always ready to take risks and question standards. After five years of growing her career in Vancouver, Tina made the move to New York City, where she continued her studies in Theatre at the prestigious Stella Adler Conservatory in Manhattan.
