Biography

Tom Delmar was born in Scotland in 1967, a land famously portrayed in the iconic film "Braveheart". Growing up in the majestic Cairngorm Mountains, he developed a remarkable array of athletic skills, excelling in various disciplines such as fencing, skiing, swimming, Judo, and ice hockey. During his time at Glasgow University, where he pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and computer science, he also honed his skills at the Army Officer Training Corps, which would later serve him well in his career as a stuntman.

After relocating to London, Tom attended the prestigious London City Lit Actors training course, followed by a stint at the BBC and ITV, where he worked in various on-camera roles for 46 weeks. In 1984, he qualified for the British Stunt Register, marking the beginning of his illustrious career as a stuntman. He quickly made a name for himself, working on some of the biggest Hollywood blockbusters of the time, including James Cameron's "Aliens" and the action-packed "James Bond" films, as well as Guy Ritchie's "Snatch" and George Lucas's "Star Wars: Episode II". Tom doubled for numerous A-list stars, including Steve Guttenberg, Sylvester Stallone, Ray Winstone, Robbie Coltrane, and Alfred Molina, among many others.

As a stunt coordinator, Tom started working in 1987, and over the next 25 years, he would go on to coordinate and double in over 300 film and television shows, collaborating with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Tom's scientific background proved to be a valuable asset, as he applied his knowledge to design and fabricate stunt equipment, airbags, tracking vehicles, and camera rigs. His company, Action Stunt Company, has since become a world leader in the industry.

Tom's passion for film and his desire to convey action and emotion in a single frame led him to start directing in 1998. Today, he is one of Hollywood's leading 2nd Unit Directors & Stunt Coordinators, with an impressive portfolio of over 36 films to his credit.
