Biography

Tom's life began in the picturesque coastal city of Key West, Florida, where his formative years were spent immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of the Florida Keys. His academic journey commenced at Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, Georgia, a prestigious institution that would serve as the catalyst for his budding acting career. At the tender age of nine, Tom took his first steps onto the stage, marking the beginning of a lifelong passion that would see him appear in nearly 200 productions over the years.

Some of the notable plays that Tom has had the privilege of being a part of include the classic horror tale, Dracula, as well as the iconic musicals, The Fantastics, Oklahoma, and Man of La Mancha. His repertoire also boasts a range of other notable works, such as the suspenseful thriller, Dial M for Murder, the iconic romantic comedy, The Seven Year Itch, and the classic musical, Damn Yankees. Additionally, Tom has had the honor of bringing to life the characters of Neil Simon's Rumors, as well as those from the groundbreaking film adaptation, The Graduate.

Tom's collegiate years in Miami, Florida, were marked by a series of appearances as an extra in various films, with his earliest credits including Darker Than Amber, a cinematic endeavour that took place at Ivan Tors Studios in North Miami, and The Aquaknots, another film production that utilized the same North Miami-based studio facilities.

Tom embarked on a remarkable journey in 1978, making his debut as a multifaceted creative force behind the camera, writing, directing, and producing the film The Barrington Oak.

As the years unfolded, he transitioned to the realm of television news, where he honed his skills in various roles. Initially, he joined the ranks of CNN as a cameraman, capturing pivotal moments and events for the esteemed news organization.

Subsequently, he relocated to Portland, Maine, where he spent four fruitful years at WCSH-TV, assuming dual responsibilities as both a cameraman and editor. This stint further polished his expertise in the art of visual storytelling, setting the stage for future endeavors.

Tom's professional journey in the entertainment industry took a significant turn in 1996 when he made the bold decision to relocate to the vibrant city of Hollywood. Since then, he has been prolific in his output, having successfully completed an impressive total of twenty films, showcasing his versatility and range as a performer. Furthermore, Tom has also demonstrated his entrepreneurial spirit by producing a remarkable five films, showcasing his ability to multitask and take on new challenges. In addition to his acting and producing endeavors, Tom has also honed his writing skills, having penned an impressive sixteen screenplays, which is a testament to his dedication to his craft and his willingness to continually push himself creatively.

Throughout his illustrious career, Tom has had the privilege of sharing the screen with some of the most talented actors in the industry, including the esteemed Timothy Bottoms, the talented Maureen McCormick, the charismatic Edward Albert, the enigmatic LeLe Sobiski, the accomplished Timothe Hutton, and the charming Christopher Atkins. What's more, Tom has had the unique experience of working alongside Christopher Atkins on four separate films, further solidifying their professional and creative partnership.

Tom, a long-time resident of New Hampshire, has spent the past four and a half decades of his life in the Granite State, sharing his home with his loving wife and their four feline companions.

As a dedicated member of the New Hampshire Film Commission, Tom devoted a significant portion of his time and energy to the organization, serving for a period of four years.

In addition to his regular membership, Tom held the esteemed position of Chairman for a remarkable two-year tenure, demonstrating his exceptional leadership skills and unwavering commitment to the film industry in New Hampshire.
