Following his high school graduation, he made the courageous decision to enlist in the United States Air Force, marking the commencement of his eight-year military career, during which he served in the Central Highlands of Viet Nam in 1966. After his time in the military, Tom pursued higher education at New York Tech, where he studied Industrial Engineering, and subsequently went on to spend seven years as a quality engineer in the Space and Defense industry.
As the years went by, Tom's professional journey continued to unfold, as he took on a new role as a Division Director at United Way of Long Island, a position he held for an unspecified duration.
