Person Biography:
Traci Lords, an American Pop Icon, has garnered international fame and respect through her determination, grit, and talent. Born Nora Louise Kuzma in Ohio, she spent her early days shuttled between her divorced parent's houses, before relocating to Southern California with her mother and stepfather, Roger Hayes. Despite her mother's efforts to provide for her, Roger's true intentions were revealed, and he began grooming Traci for nude modeling and sex trafficking at the age of 15. With a fake ID, she signed on as a figure model, leading to adult films, where she quickly rose to stardom.
Traci's early notoriety brought her international fame, but her subsequent determination and talent allowed her to carve an impressive body of work in mainstream Hollywood. She has appeared in numerous films and television shows, including Roger Corman's Not of This Earth, John Waters' Crybaby, Marvel's Blade, and Kevin Smith's Zack and Miri Make a Porno. Her memoir, Traci Lords Underneath It All, was a NY Times Bestseller, and her pioneering techno album 1000 Fires topped the Billboard Dance Chart and earned double platinum status.
In addition to her entertainment career, Traci is an award-winning voice over artist and has a vintage-inspired line of clothing. She made her stage debut in 2020 as Gloria in the revival of Tom Eyen's cult classic Women Behind Bars, which is now streaming on Broadway World.
