Tsugumi, a renowned Japanese actress, model, and adult video performer, was born Otake Tsuzumi on February 21, 1976. Born in Tokyo, she began her career as a race queen after completing high school.
Tsugumi made her film debut in 1997 with the film adaptation of the manga "Time Leap", and subsequently appeared in numerous films, V-Cinema releases, stage plays, and TV dramas. Her notable performances earned her recognition as Best Newcomer Actress at the 9th Japanese Professional Movie Awards and as Best New Talent at the 21st Yokohama Film Festival for her role in "Moonlight Whispers" (1999).
