From the earliest stages of childhood, at the tender age of six, a remarkable individual began her illustrious journey of artistic expression, by entering the prestigious Televisa art workshop, under the guidance of the highly respected and accomplished Martha Zavaleta.
This significant milestone marked the commencement of her rigorous and disciplined training in a diverse range of artistic disciplines, including the refined and elegant world of ballet, the dynamic and energetic realm of jazz, the precise and strategic art of fencing, the melodic and harmonious world of singing, the dramatic and emotive art of acting, and the meticulous and organized world of stage management, among numerous others.
Her instructors, a veritable who's who of accomplished artists and educators, included the renowned Irma Montero, the talented Gabriela Cárdenas, the skilled Jorge Becerril, and the masterful Adalberto Martínez "Resortes," who taught a mambo workshop, further enriching her artistic education and broadening her creative horizons.
This early exposure to the world of art and performance laid the foundation for her future success, and set her on a path that would ultimately lead to a lifelong pursuit of artistic expression and creative excellence.
Born with a passion for music, she embarked on an extraordinary journey at the tender age of eleven, joining forces with her classmates Horacio and Israel to form the musical group A.T.M.
Under the guidance of the pioneering Mildred Villafañe, who had previously produced the renowned group Flans, the trio thrived within the creative framework of a project launched in 1990.
Tragically, the project's promising trajectory was cut short in 1992, coinciding with the demise of the Melody record label, thereby bringing A.T.M.'s time in the spotlight to a premature close.
Despite this setback, her early experiences as a member of A.T.M. undoubtedly laid the groundwork for her future endeavors in the world of music.
It wasn't until the dawn of the 21st century, specifically in the year 2001, that the talented artist had the opportunity to further solidify her presence in the entertainment industry. This milestone followed her impressive stint in the Peruvian soap opera Boulevard, which she had joined in 1997 alongside the renowned actor Jorge D'alessio.
In the year 2004, a significant event took place in the life of a talented individual, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her career. Following an audition for Amor sin Barreras, courtesy of Gerardo Quiroz and Juan Carlos "El Borrego" Nava, she landed the role of Anybody, later renamed X in the Mexican production.
This opportunity arose after her work on the project Amor sin Barreras and her participation in the telenovela Mujer de madera, which took place in the same year. The experience and exposure she gained during this period would later influence her decision to take a hiatus from acting to pursue her passion for production.
During this hiatus, she worked as an assistant at Endemol, a renowned production company, while simultaneously studying acting in the United States. Her dedication to her craft was evident, as she continued to hone her skills and expand her knowledge in the field.
In 2006, her hard work and perseverance paid off when she received an invitation to a professional course for foreigners at a prestigious academy. This opportunity was a testament to her talent and potential, and it ultimately led to her being offered a role in Nacho Cano's Hoy No me Puedo Levantar.
However, instead of pursuing this opportunity abroad, she made the decision to stay in Mexico and play the role of Patricia Luli. This choice would go on to shape the course of her career and lead to new experiences and challenges.
Over the course of the subsequent years, Roxana Castellanos further diversified her theatrical repertoire by taking part in a diverse array of plays, including the 2007 production of Chicas Católicas, which marked a significant milestone in her burgeoning acting career.
This was swiftly followed by her appearance in the 2008 musical production of Avenue Q, a critically acclaimed show that showcased her impressive vocal range and acting abilities.
In 2011, she demonstrated her remarkable versatility as a performer by starring in not one, but three separate productions: Show Roxana Castellanos, 7 Mujeres, Ni princesas Ni esclavas, and Divorciadas.
In addition to her work on stage, Castellanos also made her mark on the big screen by appearing in the 2008 films Pamela and Casi divas, further solidifying her reputation as a talented and multifaceted actress.
In the year 2015, a significant milestone was reached in the career of a talented individual as she made her highly anticipated Broadway debut with the production of "Que no se culpe a nadie de mi muerte", a captivating play penned by the esteemed Humberto Robles.
Within this remarkable production, she had the opportunity to showcase her impressive range by assuming the roles of five distinct characters, each one a unique and complex portrayal. These characters included the grandmother, the mother, the boyfriend, the sister, and the protagonist, a testament to her remarkable acting abilities.
Not content to rest on her laurels, she also brought this same production to Mexico in the same year, wowing audiences with her incredible performance. And, in a testament to her dedication to her craft, she reprised her role in 2017 at the esteemed Foro Shakespeare, further cementing her status as a talented and versatile actress.
In the midst of 2019, she embarked on the journey of matrimony, exchanging sacred vows with her cherished partner, Lucía Cano, in the picturesque town of Zacatlán de las Manzanas, nestled in the heart of Puebla. To make the occasion even more unforgettable, Jannette Chao graciously composed a heartfelt and soulful song, specifically tailored for the ceremony, adding an extra layer of emotional depth and intimacy to the proceedings.
