Valora Noland, born Valor Baum on December 8, 1941, in Seattle, Washington, just one day after the infamous Pearl Harbor attack. Her parents made the decision to relocate to Santa Cruz, California, in 1943, where she would spend her formative years. Upon graduating from Santa Cruz High School, Valora pursued her passion for the performing arts by attending the prestigious Pasadena Playhouse College of Theatre Arts for a duration of one and a half years. However, her Hollywood career truly began in January 1961, courtesy of a talent scout who introduced her to her first agent, the renowned Dick Clayton.
Over the course of the next seven years, Valora appeared in a multitude of films and television shows, while concurrently honing her craft through various acting workshops led by esteemed instructors such as Jeff Corey, Robert Gist, and ultimately, Sherman Marks. Three roles that stand out to her as particularly noteworthy, due to their versatility in showcasing different character types, are her portrayals of "Vickie" in Sex and the College Girl (1964),"Duchess Victoria" in The Round Table Affair (1966),and "Amanda Harley" in The Girl on the Pinto (1967).
Valora Noland's time in the entertainment industry and the region came to a close in January 1968, as she bid farewell to the business and the area.
