Vanessa Marano began her acting career in theater at the tender age of seven, performing in numerous plays at A.C.T. in Agoura Hills, California. As she honed her craft, she started landing national commercials, marking the beginning of her professional journey.
Marano is perhaps best known for her iconic roles, including April Nardini, the daughter of Luke, in the beloved television series Gilmore Girls (2000),and Francesca, the daughter of the talented Lisa Kudrow, in the critically acclaimed HBO original series The Comeback (2005).
In recent years, she has made appearances in a variety of shows, including the drama series Scoundrels (2010),where she played the cunning and rebellious daughter of Virginia Madsen. She has also had recurring roles in shows like Dexter (2006),Without a Trace (2002),Trust Me (2009),and The Young and the Restless (1973).
In addition to her television work, Marano has appeared in numerous films, including the animated hit Finding Nemo (2003),the independent films Easy (2003),The Clique (2008),Stopping Power (2000),Dear Lemon Lima (2009),and The Secret Lives of Dorks (2013).

Vanessa Marano is also working on a miniseries, Marry Me (2010),alongside Lucy Liu, where she plays the troubled foster teenager Imogene "Immy" Hicks.
In her personal life, Marano is fluent in Italian and is currently enrolled in her sophomore year of college.
