Su Yung is a renowned American professional wrestler, currently making a name for herself in Impact Wrestling. Prior to her Impact stint, she gained recognition in WWE's developmental territory, FCW, where she was known as Sonia.
Su's wrestling journey began in July 2012 when she debuted for SHINE Wrestling alongside Tracy Taylor as The West Coast Connection. The duo faced Made In Sin (Allysin Kay and Taylor Made) at SHINE 1, but unfortunately lost. However, Su's determination and skillset soon paid off as she won her first Shine match against Kimberly at SHINE 2.
Throughout 2012, Su continued to impress the crowd with her victories over Rhia O'Reilly, Josie, and others. However, her winning streak came to an end at SHINE 6 in January 2013, when she was defeated by Ivelisse.
Su continued to compete in SHINE Wrestling, teaming up with Tracy Taylor and Mia Yim at SHINE 7, but ultimately losing to Valkyrie members Made In Sin and April Hunter. A month later, Su secured a notable victory over Brittney Savage via submission with her Yellow Fever finisher.
In 2013, Su participated in the SHINE Championship Tournament qualifying match at SHINE 9, but was defeated by Saraya Knight. She then entered the tournament at SHINE 11, where she was eliminated by LuFisto in a four-way qualifying match.
Su's SHINE career was marked by several notable matches, including a four-way bout against La Rosa Negra, Taeler Hendrix, and Xandra Bale, which she won at SHINE 13. She also competed against Solo Darling in back-to-back Shine events, losing at SHINE 14 and winning at SHINE 15.
In 2014, Su faced off against Mercedes Martinez at SHINE 16, but ultimately lost. At SHINE 17, Su and Tracy Taylor teamed up in the quarterfinals of the SHINE Tag Team Championship Tournament, but were defeated by Made In Sin.
