As a classically trained musician, he embarked on a multifaceted journey, initially commencing his acting career at a tender age as Doris' musical brother in the iconic MGM musical film, "Fame". Prior to the legal drinking age, he honed his skills by singing in renowned New York clubs under the pseudonym Victor E.
As a struggling New York musician, he was signed to Polygram for a 3-record dance music deal, though none of the recordings were ultimately released. Undeterred, he wrote and played nearly all the instruments on his debut album, Victor E: The Meditations, which received airplay on various indie stations across the nation, including KCRW's influential "Morning Becomes Eclectic".
The album's song "Meditation No. 6 (Getting to Know You)" was accompanied by a visually striking music video, shot on location in Los Angeles, which combined the aesthetics of Metropolis and Roller Boogie. The video, which featured a fantasy concept, remained on PowerPlay's Top 20 Videos chart for several weeks, airing on Comcast/Cablevision stations.
However, due to the financial struggles of the music industry, he made the decision to return to acting, initially experiencing a low-point with various New York theater roles. These roles included a sword-fighting Japanese warlord in the NYC Fringe Festival, where he lamented the wobbly swords, as well as an all-male naked production of Macbeth, where the swords, once again, proved to be wobbly.
Despite these setbacks, his versatility and perseverance ultimately led him to a steady stream of film and television roles worldwide, with the added ability to work in three languages: English, Spanish, and French.
