Wallace Demarria, a veteran actor, playwright, and award-winning director, is a master of his craft. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Wallace began practicing his art at the tender age of 5, bringing cartoon characters to life in his living room. His impressive repertoire included icons Muhammad Ali and Michael Jackson, as well as a spot-on imitation of comedian Richard Pryor, which showcased his ability to captivate audiences.
Wallace's talent was evident even at a young age, and he landed his first movie role at the age of 8. He continued to hone his skills as a member of the Little Rock Central High School's Troubadours, an acting troupe, earning praise and numerous awards for his performances. Wallace then attended the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts on a substantial scholarship, but surprisingly chose to pursue a Business major at Fisk University instead. This decision was motivated by his desire to not only thrive in the entertainment industry but also to manage and sustain his art.
With his degree in hand, Wallace entered a drama competition, beating out 5,000 other actors to take the top prize. He was the only competitor offered a contract with a Los Angeles-based talent agency, and he soon made the strategic move to Los Angeles. Since then, Wallace has sold four scripts, been nominated for multiple NAACP Theatre Awards, and won Best Playwright in 2016. He has written, starred in, and directed many critically acclaimed plays.
As a multi-hyphened entertainment threat, Wallace has a solid background that allows him to effortlessly transition between actor, writer, director, and more, with the ultimate goal of providing life-changing entertainment that will transcend generations.
