Walter Harris is a talented actor and producer who has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry. Born Walter Aziz Ahmad Jr. in Detroit, Michigan, he was given his mother's maiden name, Harris, after his mother remarried. This decision proved to be a smart move, as it avoided any potential confusion in his acting career.
Walter's journey into the world of acting began unintentionally, when he attended an acting class for laughs. However, he soon found himself hooked and spent five years training and developing his craft. He became a familiar face in Detroit, and his talent was soon recognized by the Second City-Detroit, where he spent three years as a member of the Touring Company and a Mainstage Understudy.
Walter's impressive resume includes numerous regional commercials and starring roles in local films, such as Silent Scream, Corrupted Minds, and Layla's Girl. He was encouraged by his Second City overstudy to make the big move to Los Angeles, where he continued to hone his skills and build his career.
As a seasoned Improv and Sketch Comedy Actor/Writer/Producer/Director, Walter has landed roles in feature films such as Disaster Movie, C'mon Man, and Life's An Itch. He is also a founding member of the award-winning Sketch Comedy Troupe Frog Island Flicks, and has created and hosted the 2010 Hollywood Comedy Festival.
Walter is currently a co-founder of 8Wood Entertainment, along with his longtime friend and fellow Detroit native, J. Writer Ward. Together, they are building their writing, directing, and producing resume with film shorts like Happy Birthday; The Short Film Thriller and other projects of all genres for all markets.
