Biography

Wendy MacLeod, a renowned playwright, is set to premiere her latest play, The Laugh Track, this fall at the prestigious ACT in Seattle. Her recent works, Women in Jeopardy! and Slow Food, are enjoying productions across the country, showcasing her versatility and range.

Prior to The Laugh Track, Juvenilia premiered at Playwrights Horizons, and The Water Children, a critically acclaimed play, received recognition as "the most challenging political play of 1998" by the L.A. Weekly.

Furthermore, Things Being What They Are premiered at Seattle Rep, with an extended run at the renowned Steppenwolf in Chicago, and Sin and Schoolgirl Figure premiered at The Goodman.

The House of Yes, which has been adapted into an award-winning Miramax film, originally premiered at The Magic Theater in San Francisco, and has since been performed at Soho Rep, The Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin, and The Gate Theater in London.

Wendy MacLeod's impressive credentials include being a graduate of the esteemed Yale School of Drama, where she currently serves as the playwright-in-residence at her alma mater, Kenyon College.
