Yanxing Wu is a Chinese-American television producer and director, best known for his work on the PBS television series Great Performances. He graduated from Columbia University with a degree in English literature and later earned a master's degree in fine arts from Yale University.
Wu began his career in television in the 1960s, working as a production assistant and director on various television shows and documentaries. In 1971, he joined the production team of Great Performances, a PBS series that featured live performances of classical music, opera, and dance. Wu served as a producer and director on the series for over 20 years, working with some of the most renowned artists and performers of the time.
