In 1957, astronomer Ted Lewis prepares a special dinner for his wife Lana to celebrate their anniversary. Meanwhile, waitress Tammy sees a shooting star and takes it as a good omen for her future. However, this is actually an alien spaceship, which crash-lands in the desert. The only witnesses are teens Dick and Penny, who see a tall, metallic alien named Urp emerge from the craft. Urp must take over Dr. Lewis's body and enlist Tammy's help to stop the monstrous Ghota, who has escaped and threatens to destroy humanity.
