A young man named Scott Thorson, raised in foster homes, falls into a romantic relationship with the famous pianist Liberace. As their affair continues, Scott becomes increasingly suffocated by the wealth and excess surrounding him, feeling isolated from the outside world. Liberace's closeted nature and constant requests for makeovers and plastic surgery eventually lead Scott to rebel. When Liberace finds a new lover, Scott is left with nothing, and he seeks legal action for what he feels he's lost. Despite their tumultuous relationship, the bond between Scott and Liberace remains strong.
