A South American port is abuzz with activity as a new freighter, also named Banos, prepares to set sail under the command of the notorious Captain Scarface. Meanwhile, a group of passengers await their departure at the Los Rios Hotel, including Sam Wilton, desperate to return to the USA, and Ilse Yeager, hoping to reunite with her father, who arrives with Mr. Kroll, a business associate of the captain. However, their tranquility is disrupted by the arrival of Clegg, who demands payment from Kroll for his recent services to the captain. As tensions rise, Captain Scarface plots to coerce Dr. Yeager into assisting him in a sinister mission of destruction.
