Canadian flyer Laurence Gerard returns to France after being demobbed, determined to uncover the truth behind the murder of a group of Resistance fighters, including his new wife. His investigation leads him to Vichy collaborator Marcel Jarnac, who is believed to be deceased. However, Gerard's search for answers takes him to Argentina, where he discovers that the Nazi ideology is still very much alive.
