Coronado background

Coronado

In the heart of California, the luxurious Hotel Coronado serves as a haven for the wealthy elite, while a world away, June Wray and her family struggle to make ends meet in a humble tent city, their lives a stark contrast to the opulence and glamour within the hotel's walls.

In the glamorous setting of Southern California's Hotel Coronado, a singer with the Eddy Duchin Orchestra, June Wray, falls in love with Johnny Marvin, a young songwriter and son of a wealthy automobile manufacturer, at first sight. However, their romance is threatened when Johnny's father disapproves of their relationship. Meanwhile, June's sister Violet marries a couple of sailors, Chuck and Pinky, who bring unexpected complications to the situation.
