A bright and ambitious disabled girl, Lena, returns to school after years of home study, eager to prove herself and earn a spot in a "normal" class. Despite her enthusiasm, her teachers seem disinterested in motivating her and the other students, instead trying to stifle their growth. Undeterred, Lena finds solace in her classmates, including Anton, and begins to thrive in the school environment.
