In the late 19th century, Daisy Miller, a free-spirited American teenager, travels through Europe with her family. In Switzerland, she meets Frederick Winterbourne, an American expat, who is torn between his attraction to her beauty and his disapproval of her modern, unorthodox behavior. As they travel together, Daisy's flirtation with another man and her disregard for social norms only deepen Frederick's confusion. With the judgments of others weighing on him, Frederick must decide whether Daisy's behavior is innocent or intentionally hurtful, and if he'll be able to express his true feelings for her before it's too late.
