Cliff Morelli, a struggling cartoonist, leaves his janitorial job at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk after being suspended for harassing a teenager. With his home life in jeopardy, Cliff turns to his wealthy brother Jack for help, only to face a series of setbacks. As his luck runs out, Cliff finds himself at the mercy of his own animated creations, who join forces with him to exact revenge on those who have wronged him.
