After being released on parole, a shoplifter visits her judge, Carole Rewinsky, at her flat. They bond over shared interests, including shoes. Carole allows Tina to stay with her, and they hatch a plan to catch a pimp who's preying on young girls. When Carole needs to investigate a crooked casino case in Tina's hometown of Annecy, Tina agrees to help.
