Captain Murphy's scouts, led by Buck, pursue Morgan's gang, who are terrorizing ranchers by killing and burning their properties. When the Captain's son joins the scouts, Buck initially welcomes him, but soon discovers the young man's cowardice. Just as Buck tries to convince the son to return home, the Captain orders them to launch a mission to eliminate Morgan's gang.
