Harry Keach, a widowed demolition crane operator, faces a life-altering health crisis that forces him to retire from his job. Struggling to cope with his new reality, he must navigate his strained relationships with his two grown children, Nina and Howard. Nina is more concerned with material possessions, while Howard, an aspiring writer, prefers to have fun rather than find a steady job.
